How do I scan food items?

Tap the Scan tab, select a storage space (Fridge, Pantry, etc.), and point your camera at your groceries. The AI identifies items in seconds.

How accurate is the food identification?

Our AI uses a combination of on-device CoreML, barcode scanning, and cloud-based vision AI for high accuracy. Results improve with good lighting and clear views of items.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → ScanMyPantry → Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the billing period.

Is my data backed up?

If you have iCloud enabled, your pantry data syncs automatically across your devices. For local-only storage, data is stored on your device only.

Can I share my pantry with family?

Pantry Pro includes Household Sharing, which lets you share your pantry with up to 5 household members via iCloud.

The app isn't scanning properly

Make sure you've granted camera access in iOS Settings → ScanMyPantry → Camera. Good lighting and a steady hand improve scan quality. Restarting the app often resolves temporary issues.

How do I restore my purchase?

Go to Settings → Restore Previous Purchase in the app. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

I was charged but don't have Pro features

Try restoring your purchase in Settings → Restore Previous Purchase. If the issue persists, email us with your Apple ID (not password) and we'll investigate.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID to request a refund.

My items disappeared after an update

If iCloud sync is enabled, your data should restore automatically. If not, check iOS Settings → iCloud → ScanMyPantry is toggled on. Contact support if data hasn't returned within a few minutes.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings inside the app → Clear All Food Items. This permanently deletes all inventory from your device and iCloud.
